GOLF WORLD PRAGUE

3rd specialized golf and golf tourism fair

Just under two years ago, the Czech Republic was voted the "Undiscovered golf destination of the year 2007" at the International Golf Travel Market fair in Marbella, Spain. In recent years, the offering of golf courses has risen considerably, already bringing the total up to almost eighty. A full 112 golf courses and 40 000 registered golf players make golf a substantial sport.

As golf complexes are often equipped with hotel accommodations and other facilities, it is no longer just a matter of the sport itself but also of a significant and continually growing branch of travel and tourism.

As a result, INCHEBA PRAHA, the organiser of the 19^th annual Central-European HOLIDAY WORLD travel and tourism fair in 2008 and the largest organiser of fairs and exhibitions in the capital city Prague, has decided to hold the 3rd annual GOLF WORLD PRAGUE specialised golf and golf tourism fair together with this fair.

The parallel date of both fairs has a number of advantages:

Participation of 750 exhibitors from 50 countries
Expositions from 34 tourist boards from all over the world, renowned travel agencies, districts and regions of the Czech Republic, Slovakia and other countries
Guaranteed high rate of visitors, in 2007, more than 30 thousand people from all over the Czech Republic and abroad visited HOLIDAY WORLD
A date in February is convenient for contacts and contracts just prior to the onset of high-season.

We are preparing the fair in close partnership with CzechTourism and CGTA (Czech Golf Travel Association) and other partners.

Together, we have one single goal:

To create a prestigious, representational forum of golf and golf tourism in the Czech Republic from GOLF WORLD PRAGUE. The fair's aim is to address foreign tour operators, golf lovers not only from the Czech Republic and last but not least to also address those who have only heard about golf so far. To this very end, we are preparing an attractive, dynamic forum of golf events along with accompanying programmes.

When the representatives of INCHEBA PRAHA approached me with the suggestion of a new fair devoted to golf and primarily golf tourism, I welcomed this initiative without any reservations. Holding a fair with this theme is indisputably necessary and even doubly more so in relation to the renowned travel and tourism fair HOLIDAY WORLD. Golf tourism is becoming a next phenomenon in travel and tourism. If the Czech Republic has noted such a boom in opening new golf courses recently, many of which are also equipped with hotel facilities, it is no longer a secret that even countless travel agencies are gradually adding this segment of the market to their portfolios.

It is clearly the right time to inaugurate a new fair, to which we are also planning to invite foreign tour operators and journalists, at which we will be pleased to welcome professionals from many sectors of travel and tourism and the general public. Hence the connection with the HOLIDAY WORLD fair is an optimum solution.

Golf tourism is developing incredibly fast worldwide, in fact three times faster than the classic type. Therefore, now is the chance for Czech incoming agencies, golf courses and resorts, hotels and other subjects dealing with golf tourism to literally "be there" as it happens. This opportunity is GOLF WORLD PRAGUE.
